How to find the Barley Mow

The Barley Mow is very easy to find: it sits at the middle of Chiswick High Road, more or less across from Boots. It's a stone's throw from the Post Office, and is opposite Sam's Brasserie. To make life easier, here's a map.

What we do

We offer:

  • Fresh coffees and bakery from 9am
  • An excellent range of draught beers and delicious wines
  • Simple, freshly-cooked dishes served from the bar or in the dining room

What's New? Everything!

The Chiswick "local" has been refurbished and is under new management.

Husband and wife Johnny and Charlie Kirkpatrick lead a young and friendly team at the pub, where much more than the décor has been transformed.

"The Barley Mow has been completely overhauled and is now a comfortable, informal and welcoming place where you can drink, eat and relax," says Johnny.

"We want the pub to appeal to a wider clientele and be the best place in Chiswick to meet and eat," says Charlie.

On the menu are lots of wholesome, simple dishes, so people can suit themselves whether they are shopping, taking a break from work or socialising.

The pub is open for delicious, and sustaining food all day (from 9am until 9pm). Customers can choose coffee and pastries, a quick lunch in the bar, or enjoy a meal out, served in the pub dining room (non-smoking of course).

"All our food is freshly prepared in the pub's kitchen from fresh ingredients." Says Charlie. "So far, the most popular dishes on the menu are the salmon and haddock fishcakes and the pork and apple sausages, served with buttered mash and onion gravy," she adds.

Welcoming and spacious, the Barley Mow is a free house that offers a wider range of draught ales, lagers and bottled beers. Enjoy the comprehensive wine list (most of which can be bought by the glass) in the relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.

Upcoming reasons to call in to the new Barley Mow are live jazz sessions on Sunday afternoons (starting this Sunday 30 April at 1pm), and summer barbeques in the garden at the front of the pub. For more details call Johnny or Charlie on 0208 994 1880.

"Come and meet friends, bring colleagues, treat the family or just call in to take a break from whatever you're doing,," says Johnny. "You will always be welcome."
